Texas Towers 4 Tots was born on November 5, 2015 on the front porch at Roadrunner Towing. A couple of my drivers came to me wanting to help less fortunate families for the holidays. It quickly morphed into a full-blown toy drive. After discussing this desire to assist needy families, we came to the conclusion that helping veterans & children was the answer. The decision was made to help The Adoptive Families of Veterans and The Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital. Roadrunner Towing teamed up with several local area towing companies that were key to the success of the toy drive. With the help of 1 Veterans Towing, Banis Towing and Mission Wrecker, the response was huge.
How You Can Help
Texas Towers 4 Tots takes donations of new unwrapped toys year round as well as monetary contributions to help with our cause. Monetary help will go towards our shopping day for the Christmas gift giving at the Adoptive Families of Veterans, Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, Guadalupe County Family Violence Shelter, and The Ronald McDonald House each year. The children’s hospital can use toys year round. When a child has finished their treatments and are ready to transition home, the Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital staff throws them a party where the toys are used for gifts. Additionally, the toys are used to raise spirits when a patient is just having a bad day. At times, there may be a patient with a special need. Texas Towing 4 Tots would like for the hospital to be able to contact us with those requests so we may fulfill the child’s special need.
